Here we are again at the start of a new year and getting ready & excited to open our doors and welcome you back on Thursday 3rd Feb. Unbelievably we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in August - it has flown by and I am so looking forward to doing something special nearer the time.
We have been planning a quite dramatic counter refit since last Autumn, however sadly that fell through, when our shopfitters couldn’t make the January timeframe due to Covid.
So not to be deterred we went to our own plan B. On reflection this has been far kinder on the environment, involving more making-do & mending; a fresh eye, a lot of decorating and a clean slate. It’s been a real family effort with everyone involved in one way or another!
We are all so pleased with the results and the cafe feels brighter, lighter & easier to get around.
We’ve added in a couple of usb charging points for those of you who work in our space, and are currently working on refreshing our menu.
There’s a very moreish new salted caramel brownie to tempt you, the return of our cheddar & herb scones and whilst it’s still chilly, a warming vegan chilli to satisfy after a walk.
I have also chosen to support the charity Foodkind https://www.foodkind.org/ who do vital work providing meals & support for refugees - look out for a donation box at the cafe - all donations very welcome!

Finally - we still prefer you lovely folk to wear a mask when ordering at the counter or browsing.
Our team will also keep masks on when serving, and our cleaning & sanitising procedures will remain unchanged.
