Come and celebrate the Eyam Village Bonfire and Firework Display on Saturday 2nd November. The entertainment starts outside our cafe in the village square from 5.30pm. We’re open until 6 on Saturday on t he night (2nd November) and will be serving food right through til 5.30 - bookings taken for families wanting an early supper, get in touch! Try our new gently spiced beef chilli & foccaccia bowl.
The torch-lit music-led procession of the infamous ‘Willow RAT’ leaves at 6.15pm, carrying it through the village to the chants of ‘Burn the Rat’ up to the playing fields. The rat is laid on the spectacular bonfire which is then followed by a fabulous firework display. Delicious food and drinks are on offer to include locally produced farmhouse sausage hotdogs, jacket potatoes with chilli or beans, home-made soup & bread, delicious mulled wine, locally brewed beer, hot drinks, parkin and of course bonfire toffee.
Tickets are now on sale, available from the Eyam stores and the pub, Calver Spar and Baslow Cafe on the Green. (Adults £6.00 and Children £3.00). Buy early to avoid disappointment! All funds raised go to Eyam School PTFA and local community projects so please do come along to support the village and join in the fun!
