Welcome to Village Green Cafe in the heart of the historic village of Eyam in the Peak District. We are a cafe & bakery serving fantastic fair-trade coffees and are becoming well-known for our gorgeous cakes made here on the premises.

We offer home-cooked breakfasts and light lunches, using great ingredients and source as many of them as possible from superb local producers. All our food is prepared to eat-in or take away. Bread is available daily from Roses the Bakers of Sheffield and speciality, artisan breads and pastries at weekends from the Welbeck Bakehouse.

Community is at the heart of what we do. We are a regular stop for the many cyclists, walkers and climbers who include Eyam on their route, and also to their four-legged friends. Spot the large jar of bonios in the window! Many drop in for a coffee and use of the free wi-fi. There is a children's menu, high-chairs and seating inside and out (for those warm, summer days!), soya milk and gluten free choices.

We are an ideal stop-off following a visit to Eyam Hall, Chatsworth House or the National Trust Longshaw Estate. For those of you planning a day's outing, why not call ahead and order a VG picnic or let us fill your flask with one of our delicious, healthy soups.

Village Green is a new business and we have already been a finalist in the Tea Room of the Year category in the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards 2012. This follows the Great Taste Gold Award for our yummy lemon-vanilla marmalade.

We are home to the work of local artists and some truly lovely British products; some made right here in the Peak District so a perfect opportunity to take home a lasting memory of your visit.

We are open daily all year round from 10-4 (hours are extended during peak season) and really look forward to meeting you.
